Dr. A. Nagadeepan

Dr. A. Nagadeepan earned his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University in 2007 and M.E. degree in Computer Aided Design from Anna University in 2012. He obtained his Ph.D. from Anna University in 2024 with the thesis titled “Experimental Investigation and Intelligent Optimization of WEDM Parameters for Titanium and Inconel Alloy Using Coated and Uncoated Wires”.

He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering. His areas of specialization include Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM), Process Optimization, Artificial Intelligence Applications in Manufacturing, Composite Materials, CAD/CAM and Non-Traditional Machining.

His research focuses on the optimization of machining parameters using advanced techniques such as Response Surface Methodology (RSM), Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Genetic Algorithms (GA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), ANFIS and Multi-Criteria Decision Making approaches. He has published research papers in reputed SCI and Scopus indexed journals and has contributed to several books and book chapters in the areas of manufacturing engineering, sustainability, artificial intelligence and research methodology.

Dr. A. Nagadeepan has actively participated in academic, research and industry interaction activities. He has guided undergraduate and postgraduate projects and is actively involved in curriculum development, outcome-based education practices and faculty development activities. He is also a recipient of the prestigious NPTEL Discipline Star recognition from IIT Madras for his continuous learning and academic excellence.
