Dr. R. Vandhiyan

Dr. R. Vandhiyan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering, combining over 7 years of industrial experience with more than 14 years of academic experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Anna University, Chennai (2020), an M.E. in Structural Engineering (First Class) from Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai (2005), and a B.E. in Civil Engineering (Second Class) from the Institute of Road and Transport Technology, Erode, Bharathiar University (2002). His industrial background spans structural design, proposal engineering, and construction site management with organizations including VA Tech WABAG Ltd. and Bhargav Associates Designs Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. His research and teaching interests include nano-silica modified concrete, corrosion resistance, sustainable construction materials, and reinforced concrete durability, with 25 papers published in journals (including WoS and Scopus indexed titles) and 5 papers presented at conferences. He is a Chartered Engineer (India) and a Member of the Institution of Engineers (India).
