Dr. R.Thiyagarajan

Dr. R. Thiyagarajan is an accomplished academician, trainer and researcher with more than 20 years of experience spanning higher education, consultancy, and corporate training. He currently serves as Head of the MBA Department at SRM TRP Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, along with an MBA, M.Phil. PGDHRM, and UGC-NET qualification.

Dr. Thiyagarajan specializes in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, HR Analytics, and Management Consulting. He has earned professional certifications in Zoho Recruit, Zoho People, and HR Analytics, reflecting his commitment to integrating technology and data-driven practices into management education.

His scholarly contributions include research publications in reputed national and international journals and presented research papers in international and national conferences organized by IIM-Kozhikode, IIM-Indore, IIM-Bodh Gaya and NIT- Trichy., as well as Scopus-indexed book chapters. He has also gained valuable international academic exposure through faculty engagement programmes at Asia Pacific University, Malaysia, Northern Kentucky University, USA and Hanyang University, South Korea.

An experienced trainer and consultant, Dr. Thiyagarajan has conducted numerous faculty development programmes for many institutions and executive development programmes for leading organizations such as Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Southern Railways, NLC India Limited, Tamil Nadu Police, TNEB, Bajaj Allianz, ICICI Prudential, and Kotak Mutual Funds. His passion for academic excellence, industry engagement, and student development continues to make a significant impact in management education.
