Dr. T. Arun Nellaiappan

Dr. T. Arun Nellaiappan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with expertise in Surface Engineering, Corrosion Science, Advanced Coatings, Welding Metallurgy, and Manufacturing Technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Material Science from NIT Tiruchirappalli and has over 15 years of experience spanning industry, research, and academia. He has published more than 20 SCI/Scopus-indexed research papers with over 600 citations and an h-index of 12. His research interests include plasma electrolytic oxidation, thermal spray coatings, corrosion-resistant materials, additive manufacturing, and advanced material characterization. He actively contributes to teaching, research, accreditation activities, industry collaboration, and student mentoring.
