Dr. Y. Brucely

Dr. Y. Brucely has held several key academic and administrative positions during his career. He is currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SRM TRP Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli, since November 2021. Prior to this, he served as Associate Professor at Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering and Technology, Tamil Nadu. He also worked as Lecturer Grade-I at DMI St. John the Baptist University, Malawi (Central Africa), where he coordinated research collaborations, placement and internship activities, and institutional accreditation initiatives. Earlier, he served as Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Head of the Department at Maria College of Engineering and Technology, Attoor, where he played a pivotal role in NBA and NAAC accreditation, academic administration, and institutional development. He began his academic career as a Lecturer at VINS College of Engineering and gained valuable industrial experience as a Quality Inspector in the automotive manufacturing sector.

In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Y. Brucely has actively guided undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, promoted industry–institution interaction, coordinated research and development activities, organized international conferences, faculty development programmes, workshops, and technical seminars, and served in various academic leadership roles. His contributions have significantly strengthened engineering education, research culture, outcome-based education, accreditation practices, and innovation-driven learning. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Institution of Engineers (India) and has been honored with the Young Scientist Award for his outstanding contribution to technical research and publications.
