Dr.B.Sethuraman

Dr. Sethuraman Balasubramanian is a distinguished academic leader and researcher in the field of Physics and Nanomaterials, currently serving as Professor & Head, Department of Physics at SRM TRP Engineering College, Trichy. He holds over two decades of teaching and academic administration experience within the SRM Group of Institutions, where he has played pivotal roles including Chief Superintendent of Anna University Exams, Academic Coordinator, Admission Nodal Officer, and Outreach Coordinator.

He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Anna University (2017), specializing in the Green Synthesis of Hybrid Nanomaterials for Supercapacitor Applications. His research expertise spans nanostructured materials, electrochemical analysis, and energy storage devices, with more than 570 citations across peer-reviewed publications. He has contributed to leading journals such as Electrochimica Acta, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, RSC Advances, and Applied Physics A. In recognition of his innovative work, he was granted a Patent (2023) on Zinc Oxide/Carbon Nanocomposite for supercapacitor applications.

Beyond research, Dr. Sethuraman has been instrumental in establishing laboratories, coordinating ISO accreditation processes, and organizing international conferences, seminars, and faculty development programmes. His academic engagements, reflecting his commitment to holistic education and institutional development.
